Just one quarter into her undergraduate studies, Connie accepted a part-time position with the Ohio Senate, providing her with a front-row seat to observe the ins and outs of policymaking. It was at that moment Connie solidified her career path and began developing the professional skillset that guides her work to this day.
Before launching ConVista Public Affairs, Connie managed state and local government affairs for a Fortune 100 telecommunications company, leading a team responsible for legislative, regulatory and executive advocacy, as well as community affairs, across three states and hundreds of municipalities. Prior to entering the corporate world, Connie served as deputy press secretary to a former governor, focusing much of her time on policy communications, statewide media relations and crisis communications. She also served as the chief spokesperson and communications director for a gubernatorial reelection campaign and, later, a national presidential Super PAC. Additionally, Connie directed government affairs efforts for the state of Ohio’s economic development authority and Ohio’s healthcare policy office.
Connie graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and communication. She lives in the Columbus area with her husband, Adam, and their dog, Newman.
